The government must list all existing and prospective policies on their website. Beside each one, there should be a count of how many MP’s, members, and citizens favour it. With a further breakdown on the proportion to which (and how) parties favour it. The list should produce names of individual MP’s as the finest level of detail.
People (and journalists) can access enormous amounts of policy-making information very effectively. This helps scrutiny.
If the website were to be a forum, people could also discuss each topic, and propose new ones, whereby a petition might trigger a parliamentary discussion if it has enough signatures.
